RED’S BIO
Red started his
photographic career way back in high school when he finished up his last
two years of High School working in the Audio/Visual Department of Caro
High School.
After graduating in
1967 he moved to Kansas City to be with his fiancé Roberta Hill who he
later married in 1969. He continued his schooling at Kansas State
University and also worked full time for the U.S. Post Office.
He started his “Home
Studio” in Lapeer in 1976, photographing Weddings, Families, Seniors
etc. Once again he also worked full time at Oakdale Center along with
his wife until that facility closed.
In 1995 he really expanded
his knowledge of photography by joining the Professional Photographers
of Michigan and Michigan Triangle Professional Photographers Association
of Lansing. In 1996 he was one of the first students to attend the
beginning of “GLiP” which was the Great Lakes Institute of Photography
at Northwood University in Midland. After only two years as a student he
was asked to join the staff at the College. He subsequently became a
Trustee at the school for the next 10 years. This Accredited school has
anywhere from 50 to 150 semi-professional and long time photographers as
students each year. Red’s last week long course was from Kalen Henderson
who is one of the best known Senior Photographers in the U.S.
He is now currently
serving his third term of office on the Board of Directors for PPM. In
February 2011 he will be the President of The Professional Photographers
of Michigan. He is also a member of Michigan Triangle Professional
Photographers of Lansing. Every month he is at lectures and seminars
given by well known Photographers from all over the U.S. This is to make
sure he continues to learn the latest techniques in photography.
Red has three children
Shelly, Kevin and Nicky. He also has 12 grandchildren… so he never seems
to run out of models for new backgrounds and props
However should you really
want to see what is happening at Artistic Images... then check out Red’s
Facebook page at - Red Enos - this is much more informative than a
simple Blog... there are over 60 albums of images and daily posts of
current events and really boring daily things...lol
In 2008 Red with the help
of family and friends built his custom designed studio on 5 acres and
has been hiding out there ever since :-)
